The changes will affect several county roads.
Oxford County council has approved new speed management and traffic calming measures for 2026 following public feedback and a road safety review completed earlier this year.
The changes will affect several county roads:
In Blandford-Blenheim, speed limits will be reduced on Oxford Road 2 in Gobles and Oxford Road 29 in Windfall. Traffic calming measures are also planned for Oxford Road 8 in Plattsville and Washington.
In East Zorra-Tavistock, improvements are coming to Oxford Road 4 and Oxford Road 33 in Innerkip, as well as Oxford Road 24 and Oxford Road 59 in Tavistock.
In Norwich Township, measures will impact Oxford Road 55 in Eastwood, Oxford Road 59 in Holbrook and north of Norwich, Oxford Road 18 and Oxford Road 59 within Norwich, and Oxford Road 19 in Otterville.
In South-West Oxford, updates are planned for Oxford Road 10 in Verschoyle.
In Zorra Township, Oxford Road 6 in Brooksdale and Oxford Road 119 in Dickson’s Corners will see speed zone changes and added signage.
County officials say the measures include speed limit reductions, speed feedback signs, flexible delineators and intersection improvements aimed at enhancing road safety for all users.
