Oxford County begins environmental assessment for Tavistock wastewater expansion

The County says the study will review multiple long-term expansion options for the facility.

Oxford County has launched a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment to determine how best to expand the Tavistock Wastewater Treatment Plant as the village’s servicing needs continue to grow.

The County says the study will review multiple long-term expansion options for the facility, which serves the Village of Tavistock in East Zorra–Tavistock.

Residents will be able to learn more at a Public Consultation Centre scheduled for December 10 (virtual) and 11 (in person), where they can speak with County staff and representatives from R.V. Anderson Associates Ltd., the consultant leading the review.

Oxford County says both in-person and virtual sessions will be offered. Each will include a presentation from R.V. Anderson Associates, followed by a public question-and-answer period.

Input gathered during the consultation will help guide the preferred solution before a final report is prepared.
