Oxford County Library offering radon monitors
Oxford County Library is helping residents protect their health by offering radon monitors for loan.
Long-term exposure to high radon levels is the second leading cause of lung cancer, but with early detection, the risk can be prevented.
The battery-operated monitors provide real-time digital readings, including daily, weekly, and long-term results, displayed clearly on an LCD screen. Residents can borrow a monitor for up to six weeks at no cost with a library card.
Holds can be placed online at ocl.net/borrow-and-learn/cool-stuff-to-borrow.
