Oxford County opens Homelessness Prevention Program applications

Up to $500,000 in funding available for community agencies and partners.

Oxford County is now accepting applications for its 2025-2026 Homelessness Prevention Program, with up to $500,000 in funding available for community agencies and partners.

The program supports organizations that assist individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness, focusing on prevention, emergency shelter access, and transitional housing solutions.

Applications open Monday, August 18, and eligible groups can learn more or download forms at oxfordcounty.ca/hpp.

Funding will be allocated to strengthen local supports, reduce barriers, and ensure people can access stable housing as quickly as possible.

This initiative builds on Oxford County’s 2025 Homelessness Response Strategy, which envisions a system where homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring.

The strategy emphasizes coordinated, compassionate services that help people find housing, keep housing, and receive the supports they need to thrive.

Community agencies are encouraged to apply to help Oxford County advance its goal of reducing homelessness and providing a stronger safety net for vulnerable residents.
