Police lay charges in August shooting that saw 33 shots fired at London home

Investigation into shooting in London continues

A man is facing multiple charges after 33 shots were fired at a London residence in August, an incident police are describing as a “terrible act of violence.”

York Regional Police say collaboration and evidence sharing with the London Police Service led to charges being laid in connection with the August 18th shooting on Foxridge Crescent.

Investigators have charged 23-year-old Kaejean Isaiah Doman with several firearm and vehicle-related offences tied to seven separate incidents in Vaughan, Brampton, and London.

The charges include discharge firearm with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, multiple counts of unauthorized firearm possession, dangerous operation of a vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and flight from police.

Doman has remained in custody since his arrest by YRP on September 10th.

“This incident was a terrible act of violence in our community, but thankfully no one was injured,” said Det. Sgt. Jon Meinen of the LPS Guns and Gangs Section. “The newly announced charges reflect the ongoing communication and collaboration that we have with our partner agencies.”

Police are asking anyone with information or surveillance footage from the area of Foxridge Crescent and Tokala Trail between 3:20 and 3:55 a.m. on August 18th to contact investigators.
