Southwestern Public Health seeks help identifying dog in Tillsonburg bite incident

Officials say the dog is a large, black dog with short fur, walking alongside a large brown dog.

Southwestern Public Health is asking for the public's help in identifying a dog involved in a bite incident in Tillsonburg on October 15, between 1 and 1:30 p.m., along the Veterans Walkway Trail near Baldwin Street.

Officials say the dog is a large, black dog with short fur, walking alongside a large brown dog. Two males were with the dogs — one wearing a grey t-shirt and jeans and carrying a bicycle, the other with dark hair in a plaid shirt and black pants.

SWPH emphasizes that the dog and owners are not in trouble; information is needed to confirm the dog’s rabies vaccination history.

Anyone with information about the dog or its owners are asked to contact Southwestern Public Health at 1-800-922-0096 and ask to speak with a Public Health Inspector.
