A weapons investigation has led to the arrest of a 17-year-old in London
London Police say a 17-year-old boy has been arrested following a weapons investigation at a secondary school in the city’s east end.
Officers were called to a school on Clarke Road at about 10 a.m. Monday, after receiving a report that a teenage male was believed to be in possession of a firearm. Police say the suspect was quickly identified and arrested at a nearby plaza.
A replica firearm was seized, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Police say there is no ongoing threat to public safety and that additional information will be released as appropriate.
