Two men wanted in lottery ticket thefts across Ontario and Quebec

Investigators allege 53-year-old Robert Dobre and 54-year-old Ahmad Alahmad worked together in distraction thefts targeting local businesses.

Police say two men are wanted in connection with a series of distraction thefts involving lottery tickets in multiple jurisdictions across Ontario and Quebec.

Police allege the thefts involved one suspect entering businesses and stealing high-value lottery tickets while staff were distracted or absent.

Following a joint investigation with Aylmer and St. Thomas Police, officers identified 53-year-old Robert Dobre of the Greater Toronto Area as a suspect. He is currently wanted by eight police jurisdictions for similar offences. Dobre has been charged with four counts of failing to comply with a probation order and two counts of theft under $5,000.

The second suspect, identified as 54-year-old Ahmad Alahmad of Mississauga, is accused of driving the white Lexus SUV linked to the incidents. He faces two counts of theft under $5,000 as a party to the offence.

Both men remain at large and have been charged by warrant.
