With Woodstock’s population expected to nearly double by 2050, the City has begun a Transit Route Study to help shape the future of local public transit.
The study, led in partnership with Dillon Consulting Limited, will guide long-term planning and investment decisions. City staff say the work will examine ways to improve route frequency, expand service into new and growing neighbourhoods, and strengthen connections across the transit network. The plan will combine technical analysis with public input to ensure it meets both current and future needs.
A public meeting was held last week to share early details and gather feedback. Residents can continue to offer input through an online survey available until November 30th. Paper copies can be picked up at City Hall or at the Engineering and Public Works office at 944 James St.
Officials say community feedback will play a key role in shaping recommendations for the final report.
